Invent a new review game for the end of a chapter. How would it be structured? Would there be a clearly-defined winner? Make sure this game incorporates everyone in the class, where everyone is actively reviewing the material on some level.
I want to play jeopardy for our review game for the end of a chapter. So first, we have to sit in a group . Then choose the section and point. The group should discuss and one person in the group have to answer the question in the board. The most point group gets a prize!
I think we should play a game similar to the golden bell, using the markers and the boards. We solve equations and higher the level, the equation should get harder. The last person that is left (rest get eliminated) he could be a winner and get a prize or something.
I think that we should play jeopardy for the end of the chapter review game. We should get into groups and one of them would have a white board. It's kind of similar to the one we played in class I guess. The group that gets the most points wins a prize!
I thought the review that we played in pre-algebra was fun! The one where we write down the solution to a problem in a piece of paper, fold it up and pass it to the front desk of the columns. So the groups would be divided into columns and points would be added to each of the groups based on how many people in a group got it right.
The review game we did in class was pretty fun, but to make it more stimulating, I think it should be more physical, standing up. Our awesome algebra teacher, Mr.Jobe could have a white board with a equation or on screen and the two teams standing in a line. When Mr.Jobe puts up the question, the student in front of the lines would go up to the whiteboard and try to get the correct answer as fast as they can. If the student in one team looses, they have to stay until they get the right answer faster than the other team. Also, everyone in each team would have to tally mark how many times they've been up on the white board as students will no longer be able to answer the question more than 5 times so that the game would be more limited. The winner will be clearly-defined in this game because of the limit
I think we should play a card game similar to Uno for the end of the chapter review. We can have negative numbers, positive numbers and absolute value of numbers. If there is -5, you can add -6, -7, -8,-9 by order because they are same negative number. Absolute value of number can be negative or positive number.
We should play a game that is like Family Feud. There are 2 teams and the first two players come out to the front and answer a question. Whoever gets it first and correct, gets to choose is they want to answer of pass. And then the either multiple questions or a question with multiple answers. The team goes down the line each person answering answers and earning points. And when they get 3 x's, the other team has to get one right answer and then the get all the points earned.
I think we should play jeopardy, well even though I don't know much games for math, but jeopardy is fun, you try to find out the question from the answer. And the question is should be harder to find if the point is higher.

ReplyDeleteI think that there should be a reward of acceptable choice so people will participate more.
