1) What was your favorite part of the Scavenger Hunt? (You can have more than one favorite.)
2) What was your least favorite part? (Again, more than one least favorite is acceptable.)
3) What would you change about the Scavenger Hunt to make it better? (Additions, Omissions, etc.)
1. My favorite part of this scavenger hunt is figuring out the places w by looking at the hint.
ReplyDelete2. My least favorite part is solving the problems. The problems was difficult to solve.
3. I think the hint should be harder because it was really easy to figure out the hint. Also, the places should be more far away so we could exercise more.
1. My favorite part was the competition because I am really competitive. I ran around trying to find the next problem and I asked Mr. Jobe a lot of questions. However since I came in like last place, I was really disappointed. Thanks Mr. Jobe!
ReplyDelete2. My least favorite part was the part that I lost :( I hate losing haha everyone does! However I think I didn't pay attention to the details in a problem sometimes which is why I took such a long time to solve some problems. Next time I'll be sure to pay attention to all the little details.
3. Well the overall hunt was pretty fun and exciting, however like I said before, I didn't pay attention to little details and I might have rushed a little. Therefore, if I could change something it would be my focus!
1. We could use our own bodies to work the problems out instead of just using our brains. ex. Ruler, Photograph and inks, The next favorite was that it was longer than the last's, there were many chances to overtake others
ReplyDelete2. The least favorite part of this hunt was that there were some things that was required to take chances like the measurement of die and to find 4 photos that we did not know what we had to look for
3. I think that Scavenger hunt could be improved by doing this in the cooler months because we had to run around a lot and it was hot. also it would be nice to make everything specific like the die and the photo about who was in the picture and something like that
1. The best part of the scavenger hunt was the part where we were at the student lounge and from then on. It was because we had to get the problem right but also make the real solution of the problem. I also liked that we had to made frightened faces and so on.
ReplyDelete2. The least part I liked about the scavenger hunt was the last part. The part where we go back to the starting point. Kyle and I were first than Sabin and Gavin but we didn't get 2nd place because we didn't pick the 2nd place paper. I was so frustrated even though it was a game.
3. One thing I would like to change about the scavenger hunt is the order. The order was bizarre! I think so because we had to go up and down and up and down! My leg was too tired in the end of the scavenger hunt. If the order was different it would take less and it would be easier to do.
1) What was your favorite part of the Scavenger Hunt? (You can have more than one favorite.)
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of scavenger hunt was the part where we went to the lounge and played with foo coloring. The food coloring part was random but fun and it made the scavenger hunt more unique and colorful. I never saw any food coloring included in any scavenger hunt in my life. Also, the question was easier than the others as well. I also liked it because i got to select what color I wanted.
2) What was your least favorite part? (Again, more than one least favorite is acceptable.)
the one that i least liked was the one in the bathroom because it was super long and it took forever for me to solve it. also, the question was in the girl's bathroom which obviously kind of smelled. It would of been better if it was outside the bathroom because of the smell that made me almost puke (: another part that I didn't find so fun was the picture taking part partly because Kelly's phone battery was running out and because it was hard to take pictures that were actually visible.
3) What would you change about the Scavenger Hunt to make it better? (Additions, Omissions, etc.)
I think the teams should change for the scavenger hunt. it would of been fun if everyone in the class was racing Mr.Jobe in the scavenger hunt. also, i think i would change the questions to something more simpler but add more questions.
1: My favorite part of the hunt was that our team found all the problems/clues pretty fast without much confusion.
ReplyDelete2: My least favorite part was that there was much running (although we weren't supposed to run). Climbing up the stairs and going down them was a nightmare.
3: I think that the clues should be a little more tricky to understand. It's not really fun if the only difficult thing is the problems. It's practically just running up and down solving problems, not really a race.
1) My favorite part of the scavenger hunt was the whole thing because I think I became more closer with my group members and it was a good way to give me a chance to really understand and study for the finals by answering all the questions. Also, the hints were interesting and it was fun to figure the hints all together.
ReplyDelete2) My least favorite part of the hunt was running around everywhere, trying to answer questions as soon as possible because I don't really like being competitive. It was even worse because it was really hot outside and I was wearing long jeans. : ( By the end of the scavenger hunt, I was sweating a lot. Another thing that I didn't like was that some of the questions were quite hard and I was struggling to figure the answer out.
3) Something that I would change of the scavenger hunt is that the places we have to go find the problems should be closer together so we don't have to run a lot. Also, the question couldv'e been a bit more easier :D haha but overall, the scavenger hunt was pretty fun. : )
1. My favorite part of the Scavenger Hunt was that you can go around while you are solving a math problems. Also I like that we compete with other teams.
ReplyDelete2. My least favorite part was going down and up the stairs. Also that there is only one paper that has the question. I couldn’t see the problem well because it was too crowded.
3. I would change the questions to make Scavenger Hunt better. Because sometimes only your partner does the work. So I would change the questions that can work as a group.
1. My favorite part of the scavenger hunt was the variety and creativity of each stage and how the stages somehow related one another. Compared to the 1st semester scavenger hunt, this particular scavenger hunt required much more critical thinking and use of body. I was very surprised of how Mr. Jobe used his creativity when setting up different equipments and ways to help us solve the stages with excitement while also having it ‘on track’ to sections we have learnt. The use of such materials increased the entertainment even while solving the problem (it’s really hard to be entertained while solving math :). I would have never thought of using graduated cylinders and food coloring to show our mixture problems... it was just remarkable. Another very fresh aspect of the scavenger hunt was the use of cameras. It was entertaining to see how we could express answers in pictures instead of the traditional pencil/notebook way, we enjoyed it or at least I enjoyed it very much. Maybe if I could point out another favorite part of the hunt it would be Mr. Jobe’s clues. The clues of each stage were indirect and creative but somehow not abstruse. The clues were fun to earn and read as they implied to another location, but wasn’t so direct as in writing the location itself.
ReplyDelete2. To be selfish for a moment, the only least favorite part of the hunt was the length of the hunt. I know it would be a problem to add more stages due to the fact not all groups would have made in before class ended, but it would have been a little more fun and competitive to go on longer. To be very truthful and honest, there was no other part of this particular scavenger hunt that could be considered ‘least favorite’. I enjoyed running the long distances (walking in halls!), solving each math problem, acting frustrated when i couldn’t get a correct measurement of the cube, getting the units incorrect, they were all just very very entertaining to me. Although, some stages for example the last stage I struggled on the problem, it wasn’t my least favorite because my partner helped and the whole hunt was the fact that partners helped each other out when they come to struggles.
3. If I had the honor to make add a few things to the scavenger hunt, it might be to add a few more stages. The slightly depressing part of the hunt was that we ended it approximately 30 minutes before the class ended. If it was possible, adding more stages would have made it a little more interesting and competitive as there were a lot of groups in close a tie. Also, if there could be a change, if the campus was available, it would’ve been more fun if we had stages in new areas such as in an empty gym or mountains behind our campus or etc. By separating the stages more apart, it wouldn’t have had required the addition of stages, but would have had the effect of delaying the ending time for faster groups. Although, I understand the circumstances of having to get permission and excuse for using the facilities and places, these were just some ideas that just might have made some (maybe only a few) of us having more fun. Overall, I thought this scavenger hunt was a great success and I enjoyed it very much.
