One chapter left. One quiz left. Then the final. You're almost there!
1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to the upcoming 7th graders, what would it be?
3. Will you work hard until the end, or give up because you're tired? Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year?
(You must answer all questions thoroughly to receive all points on this assignment. Remember, lame answer = lame grade.)
1: Happy, Excited, Tired
ReplyDelete2: "Don't forget your textbook"
3: I will not forget to study for tests or quizzes and I will double check all my answers that I write.
1. I'm feeling excited, relieved, and also a little bit melancholy. I'm really glad that it's going to be the end of the year soon! I learned a lot in Algebra this year and I'm so glad that I did actually learn that much. However Algebra was one of my favorite classes and so I'm a little sad that I need to leave this class and go to high school soon :(
ReplyDelete2. Just because you're naturally good at math, doesn't mean you'll get everything right every single time and that you'll get the highest math score every time. Even though intelligence greatly helps you in math, effort always plays a key role in achieving some high scores in class! Try your best! Not only does trying bring your score up, but it also brings your inner persistence up, if you get a high score once, then you keep working and working to keep getting that high score!
3. I will most definitely work hard until the end because that's just how I am, work hard because if I don't try my best, I get disappointed at myself, I always try to be the best and try to do my best. Maybe in class I will participate more because I think sometimes I think my answers are incorrect, however I've learned that if I'm going to make mistakes, I might as well make them out loud, because what difference does it really make if I don't say anything at all? Other than that, I am confident about my studying habits and I will continue to word hard to keep my grade up :)
1. excited, gloomy, and nervous.
ReplyDelete2.do all your homework, study for the test, and don't make foolish mistakes while taking a test! Take notes in class, always listen to the teacher. And be serious while studying.
3. I will work hard till the end because I want to raise my grade up, also because it is fun. I think what I will do is stop making foolish mistakes on everything.
1. The three words that I can think of: Daunted, Anticipated, Prepare
ReplyDelete2. The warning I will give to 7th graders is: 8th grade math is much and more harder than the Grade 7th, something you have learnt in grade 7 will come out at the late stage of the 8th grade Algebra course so you guys need to keep studying the materials learnt during 7th grade so you can utilize that information when the time comes
3. I will work harder than I have been doing so to the last minute, I know that I can extremely boost my grades just my one month of working hard and the Final test. I am sure that I can get a better grades than I have now. I am improving on my organizational skills now and I am sure it will be perfect by the time I need to study for the Finals
One chapter left. One quiz left. Then the final. You're almost there! no....
ReplyDelete1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
tired, weird, interesting
2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to the upcoming 7th graders, what would it be?
First, do you homework, then make sure you don't get the teacher mad. Pay attention in class no matter what since it makes studying easier (really easier). Have fun and don't argue back to teachers because obviously, you don't have a teacher license.
3. Will you work hard until the end, or give up because you're tired? Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year?
Who confesses they're going to slack off? But I will probably work hard till the end because first my mums going to get mad if I don't. Also I want to end the year with good grades and a smile. I guess the two different things I will do differently are to review over what we learned in class EVERYDAY and use those extra time or chilling time for doing other school work. I think with those two differences, I will be able to end the year well.

NEW POST
ReplyDelete1: Happy, Excited, Tired. I feel happy that the year is coming to an end but going to high school is probably not going to be my favorite time in life.
2: "Don't forget your textbook" "Do your homework" "Don't play games in class" "Have fun in Algebra because high school math is boring"
3: I will not forget to study for tests or quizzes and I will double check all my answers that I write. I think that these are my biggest weaknesses in math that I need to fix, and I think that if I can fix these, I'll be set for high school
1. Sleepy, Tired , and Happy
ReplyDelete2. Review before the test, always pay attention to the teacher, do all of your homework!
3. I will still work harder because I am not satisfied with my grade. Two things that I will do different is, number one, before the test, I will review and look at all of my homework and textbook to make sure that I know everything in the chapter. Second, If I have difficulty solving some problems, I will ask the teacher or my friends.
1) I am sad that I am going to leave Algebra next year because this class was so much fun! : ) I am excited that we are soon going to be in high school. I am nervous because I'm afraid that high school is going to be a lot harder than middle school.
ReplyDelete2) Some advice that I would give to the 7th graders is to work very hard and be prepared well. Also, study for tests and quizzes, do all your homework, and check over the answers several times when you are done with a homework, test or a quiz. They should take notes during class when Mr Jobe is doing a Keynote presentation and listen carefully when Mr Jobe is explaining something. Don't get distracted by your friends. Even though they want to talk to their friends, it will just effect them and their grade.
3) I will definitely work hard until the end. I would really like to rise my grade up more. Two things I will do differently from what I've done all year is that to do homework earlier so I can get enough sleep and another thing I would like to change is that to go to Mr Jobe more often for help and to really understand the material.
1: I feel relieved that the year finally ended and that we only have one chapter left and of course the finals... After that there are no more tests or quizzes to worry about! I’m excited about next year taking geometry in high school and all the different theorems and shapes we will be learning different from the formulas we went through during algebra. I am amazed that the year already past as we have learnt almost a whole textbook full of charts, coordinate planes, equations, word problems, and formulas. In the beginning of the year I was worried how much of the mathematics the textbook would cover, but it is amazing how we already finished them!
ReplyDelete2: It is very important to improved or be consistent in your mathematics try hard not to drop your skills as you go on and keep your grades. Starting low and increasing your grades is much better than starting high and going low. When you are studying for tests and quizzes it does not mean read equations in the textbook and eye-skim through the book, it means solve the problems and check your answers. From experience, there is no one who gets a high score for all tests and quizzes without solving the problems by hand. Always revise your work no matter if it is a warm-up, classwork, homework, quiz, or test. It is all to benefit yourselves^^
3: During the year, the most stressful thing happening during tests and quizzes was to see that I’ve got something wrong when it was a problem from a criteria I was confident with. To prevent those situations, I will always revise my work not only double checking, but triple and quadruple checking for answers. Also, I believe one of the most important aspects of mathematics was concentrating while you solve. Losing concentration would always result in careless mistakes. I will try not to lack concentration during tests even if they are problems and equations that I feel confident with. These ways to make it easier to keep my grades or even make it go up before the year ends!
1). Funny, sad, happy
ReplyDelete2). Practice a lot for algebra. You have to solve every single problems and practice a lot! And have to be careful at calculating especial negative numbers. And have to try hard and focus in the class because if you miss it, you will miss everything about the chapter. And have fun with it! Algebra is suppose to be fun. And you also have to be patient for learning new things, and you shouldn't be sad because you got bad score, fail or got mistake. It's okay to get mistake, we all learn from the mistake!
3). I won't give up and work hard until the end of this year. The final test is coming so I have to study for it. And I'll try my best to raise my grade by focusing in the class, finish all the CW, do every hw, and maybe I can do extra practice from math textbook. I hope I can raise my grade until at the end of the year. The two things that I will do different from now on are practicing and reviewing what I've learned in the class, and another thing is participate more in class. Such as answering questions by raising up my hand or finish all the CW and get checked by Mr.Jobe.
1.Nervous, excited, and stressed. I’m nervous about finals but really excited about getting over with Algebra and going up to Geometry. It seems to be kind of fun in Geometry but when I think of what I have to learn from Geometry I get stressed.
ReplyDelete2.Study for tests and do all your homework with your full effort. Although you might think you know everything from the chapter and get good grade, you HAVE to study for 30 minutes at least. Also don’t make any simple mistakes.
3.I will work harder until the end of the year. Because this is the time when people try to give up and your grade might go down. Sometimes I give up because it’s end of the year but not this time, I want to keep up my grades and learn more about Algebra. Two things that I will do differently from what I have done all year are start studying for test earlier and review chapters we have done. Every test I did not have enough time to study, so next year I want to study more with lots of time. Also reviewing chapters we have done already because every chapter is related to each other and I forget a lot.
